give-to-own
like “rent-to-own”
but better.

To support non-profits through my painting practice, give-to-own marries monthly charitable contributions with the concept of rent-to-own.

You give to a non-profit. I’ll give you art.

here's how it works*:
1) find a painting that speaks to you
2) set up monthly contributions to a nonprofit of your choosing (listed below)
3) hang and enjoy original art in your space
4) once you’ve donated the total value of the piece, you own it.

Non-profit Organizations

  • Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ)

The mission of the Northside Achievement Zone is to end generational poverty and build a culture of achievement in North Minneapolis where all low-income children of color graduate from high school college- and career-ready. NAZ accomplishes this through collaboration with parents, community organizations, and schools.

  • Appetite for Change

Appetite for Change believes food is the key ingredient to nourishing wellbeing. Systemic barriers make accessing fresh food in North Minneapolis a challenge for many. Through youth and workforce development programs, social enterprises, and policy initiatives, Appetite for Change builds community capacity to engage with the food system in a fresh and sustainable way.

  • Juxtaposition Arts - JXTA

Juxtaposition Arts is a teen-staffed art and design center, gallery, retail shop, and artists’ studio space in North Minneapolis. Juxtaposition Arts develops community by engaging and employing young urban artists in hands-on education initiatives that create pathways to self-sufficiency while actualizing creative power.
